book about an intersex girl written by a non-intersex doctor. extremely clinical discussion of the experience obviously from an outsiders perspective. uses slurs of all sorts indiscriminately. uses sexual assault as a plot device. im not intersex but i really doubt a book that's this callous with its subject is a decent representation. read books by actual intersex people instead
